Hotel Information

Estonia is more than Tallinn!

At the heart of Lahemaa National Park lies the beautiful traditional Palmse manor and park, some 80 kilometers from Tallinn, on the shores of The Baltic sea.

Park Hotel Palmse, the converted manor distillery, is set amongst unspoilt nature. Enjoy a relaxing holiday, and stay at our country hotel with 27 rooms.

The large 18th century residence, which once belonged to the von Pahlen family, has been restored and is now, once more, the jewel in the crown of the park. The group of buildings which form the manor are surrounded by park, where trees, both common and rare, can be found, as well as a lake with swans and a garden pavilion. Beyond, lie the woods and the forest. Nowadays, the manor itself is a museum and is open to the public. One of the largest of the group of buildings in the manor complex is the former distillery which has been rebuilt to form the hotel. This has meant that the unity of the manor buildings has been preserved as a whole, taking into account heritage and environment. Our guests are offered everything which can be expected from a comfortable country hotel.

Your destination

is a location in Northern Estonia in the province of Lääne Virumaa which stretches from the Gulf of Finland in the north to the Pandivere Hills in the South. It is an area where the rivers Kunda, Toolse and Pada have cut deep beds through the landscape.

Lahemaa National Park

is known for its attractive and special natural surroundings, for given peninsula jutting out into the sea, and its bays which have given the region its name, lahemaa meaning ‘land of bays’ in Estonian. At your request, Park Hotel Palmse will organise outings and excursions to enable you to explore the beautiful countryside of the national park.
